Fundraising Successes

St Elizabeth's has had a successful few months fundraising in and around the community, and hope it continues into the Summer months.

We were very fortunate to have 4 intrepid runners take on the London Marathon in April, collectively raising over £11,300! The sun shone down on our runners (not ideal weather for 26.2 miles!) and we want to wish them a very big congratulations and thank you for this huge fundraising task, all for St Elizabeth's.

Back in December, Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Round Table fundraised during the month of December, helping Santa and his sleigh to visit as many houses and local events as possible in order to raise vital funds. The group raised over £4,600, which enabled our Physiotherapy team to purchase a new therapy bike for our adult residents who need therapy to strengthen their arms and legs, or who require rehabilitation following a stroke or seizure. A huge thank you to the whole team!

After selecting us as their charity of the year, Knight Frank Estate Agents (Bishop's Stortford branch) held a bag packing event on 4th May at Waitrose Bishop's Stortford. Thanks to the generosity of shoppers, they raised an impressive £403.87 for the Centre. Thank you!

Lazy Salsa Sunday held a fun Salsa event, and split the £3,000 between us and Haven Hospice. This is going to make such a difference so thank you!

Bishop's Stortford Fine Art and Decorative Society donated £250 to our School to purchase new pottery equipment. They have offered to support us for a further 2 years, in order to purchase more equipment for our children and young adults. A wonderful sentiment, greatly received.

St Elizabeth's are currently preparing for the Harlow Business Exhibition on 14th June at The Manor of Groves Golf Club. They have selected us as their Charity of the year so we are delighted to be centre stage for the event, and thankful for the opportunity to present to over 80 local businesses on the day.
