New Braintree Shop Open for Business

New Braintree Shop Open for Business

Our brand new charity shop opened this week - on Braintree's High Street (No. 67), it is one of the largest shops we have (alongside our 7 other shops in Bishop’s Stortford (Thorley), Harlow (Staple Tye and Bush Fair), Hoddesdon, Potters Bar, Saffron Walden and Ware).

Decked out in balloons and flags, we had a queue of eager customers waiting outside long before we opened! Our first customers were welcomed in at 11am, and within minutes of opening our doors, we were already ringing up sales.

The shop has an extensive range of clothes (men’s, women’s and children’s), shoes, handbags, homeware, books, DVDs and bric-a-brac. Pop along next time you’re in Braintree and see for yourself.

Our shops are a vital source of funding for St. Elizabeth's, supporting our work with vulnerable children and adults with severe epilepsy and other complex needs.

Want to donate? If you’re having a clear out, bring your bags to us – if you Gift Aid them at the same time by filling out a quick form, we will make even more money for the Centre.

Want to Volunteer? We are looking for volunteers to support the shop in a number of different roles - ask inside for more information or contact

More shops will be coming soon over the next few months, so watch this space!
