If you are interested in a place for a young person (between the ages of 18 and 25) at St Elizabeth’s College please contact us to arrange for an information pack to be sent to you. You are welcome to come to one of our Open Days. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about the College and decide if you wish for an application to go forward. The Admissions Panel will then consider the application and if we think the young person may benefit from the College Programme invite you to an Assessment Day.
The Assessment Day allows us to find out more about the young person and will include a Domiciliary Care Assessment and assessments by the Speech and Language Therapist, College Nurse, other relevant therapists (e.g. physiotherapist), an assessment in one of our vocational settings, and meetings with Senior Curriculum Tutors. During the day you will be supported by a Key Tutor, so there is plenty of opportunity to discuss things and ask questions.

Funding
The College Programme is jointly funded. The educational element is funded by the YPLA (Young People’s Learning Agency) and the Domiciliary Care through your local Adult Care Services. It is therefore crucial that you seek the support from the Connexions Adviser and/or Social Worker. Much of the decision making is now based in the young person’s own Local Authority through Panel meetings. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require more information about funding.
