The ethos of the organisation has a strong sense of care and compassion for people with learning disabilities, giving a high profile to supporting and enabling people to learn independent living skills and participate in meaningful activities and work to reflect their wishes and needs.

The Care Homes at St Elizabeth's are part of St Elizabeth's Centre, which also comprises St Elizabeth's School and College.

It is the only centre of its kind in the country, offering highly specialised services to people of all ages with learning disabilities.

We are proud of our values and heritage, but our expertise is completely up to date. Our adult care services offer a nationally renowned centre of excellence in the care of people with complex neurological and other conditions caused or complicated by epilepsy, often with other associated disabilities. Our innovative and intensive health and therapeutic support services are a key feature of the service provided at St Elizabeth's.

Residential Accommodation

There are over 100 adult residents living at St Elizabeth's. The accommodation comprises 13 purpose built bungalows, each of which is home to between five and 10 residents. Residents are placed with people of a similar age and generally with similar support needs.

Each bungalow has its own committed and experienced staff team who are qualified and trained to meet the needs of the particular clients they support. Thus, whilst working to the same high standards across the service, each bungalow has its own unique character.
