College sports hall 2

The college curriculum for all learners includes opportunities to participate in sports activities to promote physical activity, foster teamwork and enjoyment.

A variety of sports, including volleyball, tennis, badminton, football, basketball and team games take place in a well-appointed, spacious sports hall. Sport also provides opportunities for problem-solving and basic human biology.

Strong links have been established with our Therapy Services. The centre's physiotherapist supports identified college sessions, working in partnership with the sports instructor.  These are targeted at learners with specific sporting and physical therapy needs.

Hertfordshire Football and Cricket Associations and Bishop’s Stortford Football Club are among the external bodies supporting us by providing special events and work experience placements for learners.

Several of our learners attend Special Olympics training and participate in competitive events. The college also enters the local annual football Inclusion Cup Finals and have been victorious for three of the past four years!

A gym in Bishop’s Stortford is another excellent community resource, where learners use the studio for yoga, along with the wide range of fitness equipment. All learners have a personalised programme to meet his or her specific needs.
