We Work with Parents and Welcome Their Views and Feedback

St Elizabeth’s School is proud of its relationships with the parents of our pupils.

In the recent OFSTED, September 2014 parents' survey, 100% of parents Agreed or Strongly Agreed with the following statements:

  • My child is happy at this school
  • My child feels safe at this school
  • My child is well looked after at this school
  • I receive valuable information from the school about my child’s progress
  • The experience of boarding/welfare helps my child’s progress and development
  • I can easily contact the staff who care for my children
  • I would recommend this school to another parent

These results are very positive and we are pleased that our work to support the pupils achieve, feel safe and be happy at school is reflected in the parents' views. A big thank you to all the parents of our pupils for their continuous support and dedication.

Parents are encouraged to be part of all aspects of School Life through:

  • Termly Parent Days, involving teacher consultations and opportunities for training and to listen to guest speakers.
  • Open access to communication between school and home, including multi-disciplinary meetings to work with and support parents and school staff to deliver consistent strategies across the waking day curriculum.
  • Invitations to whole-school events, such as sports day and drama productions.
  • Parents are also represented in school governance.

Frequent and meaningful links with family and friends are always encouraged. If required, pupils are supported to be in regular contact with their parents and assistance is given to write, e-mail and to use telephones.
