Learning

The curriculum is based on learning in real situations throughout the waking day developing the learners’ independent living skills, vocational training, Skills for Life and Health and Leisure Opportunities.  
The Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA) funds the educational components for 38 weeks of the year as though the learners were on day places at a local college.  
An expanded domiciliary care package covers the 14 weeks deemed non term-time, thus learning can take place over the full 52 weeks.
