Work Activities - Ash Vale Horticulture

Social Enterprise Orchard 3

Ashvale is our horticultural Social Enterprise. Based within the grounds at St Elizabeth's it offers year round work based experience in planting and growing a wide range of produce both in doors and out of doors.

Covering over 2 acres of land, the enterprise produces flowers and pot plants, willow structures, seasonal arrangements and vegetables for sale at the Centre’s annual events and other local outlets.

Clients are included in every step of the project from seed sowing through to harvesting. Ashvale also sells eggs from our own free-range chickens. All clients receive an incentive payment, gain work experience and have the opportunity to undertake a City and Guilds qualification.

Ashvale is registered with the Soil Association, is accredited with the Investors in People award and is a Thrive Quality Champion.

All of our wonderful work is available to purchase from The Drawing Room, Ashvale or Main Reception here at St. Elizabeth’s, or if you would like to order/ commission something in advance, email us at
