Welcome to our school website.

At St Elizabeth’s School we have a very special group of young people.  Most of our pupils / students have medical challenges in particular epilepsy as well as other health and learning issues.

We endeavour to live out our mission statement.  We value every member of our community and put a framework of support around each young person to enable them to recognise and develop their potential.  We work with each young person and their family in providing the right structure and environment to enable them to succeed.

We have built up a strong therapy team who work with each young person and construct a programme to build skills, confidence and self belief.

Together we live and learn. We learn from each other.  School Council have an important role to play in the life of our school.  Empowerment and building up of skills and confidence is crucial in the development of our young people.

To make our world a better place for all.  We challenge pupils to reflect on the needs of people living in the locality and other countries.  We inform ourselves and do something about it.

And to grow together by doing the best in all that we do.  The ‘can do’ attitude permeates all our relationships and our policies.  Ability is stressed, not disability.

The website shows some of the activities that take place throughout the year. Success is celebrated in class, home units, whole school gatherings, by parents, governors, visitors.

We strive to help our pupils/students become as independent as possible, equipping them for transition to their next placement at nineteen.  We are all immensely proud of what they achieve during their time at school.

Come and see our unique school and meet our amazing pupils and students.
