At St Elizabeth's Sixth Form, we provide a specialist, person-centred learning environment designed for young people aged 16-19 with moderate, severe, and profound and multiple learning difficulties, with other complex neurological conditions potentially caused or complicated by epilepsy. Our provision is focused on enabling every learner to take the next steps in their personal development, independence and future pathways, bridging the crucial gap between school and adult life.
Each student at St Elizabeth’s Sixth Form follows a highly individualised curriculum that reflects their unique abilities, goals, and aspirations. Our multi-disciplinary team works closely with families and outside agencies to ensure that every learner receives the right support to make meaningful progress, whether that’s in communication, life skills, vocational experiences, or emotional and social development.
We pride ourselves on our nurturing approach where learners feel valued, understood and included. Our staff are specialists in supporting young people with epilepsy and other complex needs, and therapy is embedded into the daily routine. We offer access to a wide range of in-house support services including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, behaviour support and clinical expertise.
From the moment the learners join us, we begin planning for what comes next. Our transition planning is robust and forward-thinking, ensuring that every young person is supported into the most suitable post-19 provision, whether that’s further education, supported employment or adult services.
Sixth Form aspires to be successful in all that we do. For our learners, we look at their individual hopes and aspirations for the future, and work together with them to ensure they can achieve their long-term goals.
St Elizabeth’s Sixth Form strives to provide unique learning experiences and opportunities, delivering programmes and activities very much individualised to a learner’s needs. We work hard to ensure that our learners are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes from their time at the Sixth Form.
Our bespoke, highly personalised pathway offers allow learners to explore, learn and prepare for the future based on their individual needs and aspirations:
