I came to St Elizabeth’s in September 2018 after a long career in the voluntary and public sectors.
Starting life as an academic and probation officer, I have worked in areas such as crime, mental health, addiction, and homelessness, spending seven years as Chief Executive of the housing charity Shelter. More recently, I followed my six years as Chief Legal Ombudsman with a period as a consultant, advising organisations as diverse as Which?, MasterCard, Sense About Science and the General Optical Council.
Outside my role at St Elizabeth’s, I continue my work alongside Oxford University Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. Any time left over sees me with my kids or, more importantly, watching Arsenal!
