Sister Pat was educated by the Daughters of the Cross in Bury, Lancashire. She later entered the Daughters of the Cross in what was then the novitiate in Carshalton, Surrey. After her training in religion, Sr Pat went to Teacher Training College and after qualifying, did her probationary teaching year in Blackley, Manchester. Most of her teaching life was spent here at St Elizabeth’s teaching young people with special needs.
She currently serves on the governing body of St Elizabeth’s Specialist School and has recently completed a term of office as a Governor at Holy Cross 6th form College in Bury, Lancashire. Since retiring from teaching, she spends time functioning as a Counsellor for staff at St Elizabeth’s Centre, as well as performing various functions within the Daughters of the Cross such as vocations guidance.
