St Elizabeth's heading to The Tate

Some of our adult residents and day clients visited The Tate Modern Contest Exhibition last week at The Junction in London, hosted by Uniting Friends, and attended the Winner’s ceremony where the Mayor announced the winners and what pieces would be featured and exhibited in the Tate Modern next Thursday.

We are thrilled to say three of our five entries have won a place and will be exhibited at the Tate Modern Winners Gallery on Thursday 5th September 11am-4pm! This is open to the public if anyone would like to visit and see the work.

Of the three entries going through, two of them also won Best In Show (Judges Choice). The other two entries who did not make it through will remain at The Junction to be displayed there.

Our winning entries were:

'Beauty in Every Moment' by Michael O’Driscoll
'Beauty Beneath the Surface' by Eileen’s Art Group (Ken Humphreys, Belinda Barnett, Michael O’Driscoll and Caroline Meeres)
'Tree of Life' by Simon Foster

A huge congratulations to everyone involved!
