Take on a challenge this year for St Elizabeth's

Could 2021 be the year you tick something off your bucket list, and take on a challenge? Why not do it in aid of St Elizabeth's!

We know once restrictions allow, everyone will be looking forward to getting back out into the world, travelling and getting together with friends and family. Perhaps a challenge event could involve all of these things, and benefit a charity like ours.

Ryan is doing just that, by taking on the Dragon Ride challenge. Ryan said:

"I wanted to find a challenge to complete in 2021 as I needed a goal to works towards to help give me some structure through the last year. As I was able to cycle through lockdowns and train at home using a stationary bike it made logical sense to choose a cycling challenge plus I love being outside! Previously I had completed the Prudential Ride London 100 miles for St Elizabeth's and this time I decided to up the ante and choose the Dragon Ride."

The Dragon Ride is one of the oldest and most iconic sportives in the UK, renowned as being the toughest and most legendary in the British Isles situated in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. There are four routes in total, and Ryan will be completing the second longest "Gran Fondo" route. Ryan said "It’s a tough day’s cycling coming in at 210km (130 Miles) with over 3000m (9843ft) of ascent. The ride will take me around 10 hours of non stop riding to complete!"

Challenges can take any form - everything from a walk, jog, abseil, or in Ryan's case - cycle! If you would like further information on how we can support you, please email fundraising@stelizabeths.org.uk
