World Book Day 2018

World Book Day 2018

St Elizabeth's Centre celebrated World Book Day on Thursday 4th March with lots of costumes and topical tasks in class, including designing book covers and book tokens.

Staff, College learners and pupils came together to mark the day by dressing as their favourite characters from popular books, and designing their own books based on some old classics.

We had a range of characters, including Fantastic Mr Fox, Wally from the popular 'Where's Wally?', Maleficent and Bill & Ben The Flower Pot Men. Students and College learners had fun in class, with all tasks focused on the annual celebration.

Students from our school created some beautiful book covers featuring the famous Charlie and the chocolate factory and Shaun the Sheep. Students also took part in a 'design a national book token' competition, organised by World Book Day and sponsored by National Book Tokens'.
