Our Christmas Fundraising Appeal

How can we help you?..

As we head towards Christmas, St Elizabeth’s are launching an urgent Christmas Appeal: the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has meant cancelled events, closed shops and reduced income across all fundraising areas. Combined with increased expenditure on staffing, PPE, medical equipment and testing, we are facing a difficult future.

Many of the 200+ children and adults we support are particularly vulnerable to potential infection, due to their severe epilepsy and complex health conditions. We continue to do everything we can to ensure the impact of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) is felt as little as possible here at St Elizabeth’s and are providing intensive support to all of our clients during this time. We are also committed to ensuring that our service users continue to develop and thrive here, and to limit the impact of lockdown on their lives.

As well as increasing levels of protection across the site – including barrier nursing, isolation wards and zoning – we have also had to up our staffing numbers to provide an extra level of care to implement these additional precautions. All of these cost vital money and resources. And with PPE becoming a standard in all areas – including full scrubs, visors, facemask and gloves – the cost of keeping everyone safe has spiraled.

With all of our fundraising events now cancelled for the year, this Christmas we are hoping to raise £30,000 towards these additional costs through our Christmas Appeal, and to give our service-users a Christmas to remember despite the circumstances.

Our incredible staff are working extremely hard to ensure we can provide the best possible care and protection to each and every one of our residents in these incredibly difficult circumstances. But to do this, we need your help!

Please give today and support St Elizabeth's this Christmas...Thank You!
