Assistant Manager (Children’s Home)

£31,370 - £35,123 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Temporary (6 months) / Internal applicants only

This exciting and varied role is based in our Children’s Home and will be part of the management team responsible for leading our residential child care teams. You will be allocated a specific area of responsibility and have overall management for a designated staff team.

We are looking for someone who is keen to step up and show us what they can do in a high profile role that offers responsibility and development in equal measure.

The role will be a busy one, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and statutory regulations, completing robust audits, act as the dedicated safeguarding lead, ensure adequate staffing levels with effective rotas all whilst ensuring our teams deliver high quality care and support to our young people.

We’re looking for a self- motivated, organised individual with relevant management experience and a proven track record of leading staff teams. You’ll need to have professional experience of providing care and support to children or young people with learning disabilities in a residential setting with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of different people. It’s essential you have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent and a willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Residential Child Care should you be required to do so.
