Join our caring and committed staff at St Elizabeth’s Centre and experience working with others who share our compassion and enthusiasm for caring for vulnerable people.  We value our staff who work exceptionally in supporting all our residents, students and learners to live and learn as independently as possible.  In return, we offer excellent benefits, including:

  • Well-being – We want our teams to take well-being seriously so flexible working, counselling, generous annual leave entitlements, eye-tests and our employee assistance programme ensure that we support you in all the right ways. All of our employees receive a generous annual leave entitlement, plus 8 days bank holidays.  In some roles you receive additional leave after 3 and 5 years’ service.  Employees can also ‘buy or ‘sell’ annual leave (up to 5 days).
  • Recommend a Friend Scheme, where you can earn an extra £150.00 - you will receive an initial payment of £25.00, with a further £125.00 once they successfully complete their probationary period. We value your recommendations, and if you know someone who shares our values and commitment get them to contact us, and if appointed on a permanent basis you will receive this extra cash.
  • Safeguarding is at the heart of all we do – so as you would expect, DBS checks are carried out and paid for by us, at no cost to you. We also ensure regular checks are carried out across the Centre.

  • Free on-site car parking for everyone – no need to worry about finding a parking space, we have plenty and at no extra cost!
  • St Elizabeth’s on-site accommodation - set in beautiful surroundings, our accommodation is available for eligible employees for up to 2 years at a cost of £70.00 per week (if you live more than 50 miles away).
  • Subsidised Staff Transport - if you don’t drive, you can use our subsidised transport service which picks up from various stops including Bishop's Stortford, Harlow (train station), Sawbridgeworth and Hunsdon.  The transport services the shift patterns worked at the Centre to ensure care teams arrive safely and on time to care for our residents.
  • Subsidised restaurant – our welcoming restaurant has both hot and cold food served both morning and afternoon and all at very reasonable prices.
