Day Opportunities FAQs Positive living and learning for people with epilepsy and other complex needs

Day Opportunities FAQs

I want a family member to start accessing Day Opportunities. How do I get the process started?

The first step is to speak with our Admissions team who will guide you through every step.

What is the criteria for accessing Day Opportunities?

Our Day services are designed for adults aged 18 and over, who have epilepsy and/or other complex needs. All perspective clients are invited to visit Day Opportunities for an assessment and to see our facilities and what we offer. Everything can be discussed with our Admissions team and our Community Learning Manager.

How is this service funded?

Most of our clients have funding through the local authority, but funding can come from a number of sources, including private funds. Funding is decided on a case by case basis, and can be discussed with our Admissions team.

What if I choose an activity but I want to change?

Clients are given the option to change activities at any point during the year, subject to availability.

Can I increase the amount of activities I attend per week?

Clients attending for five days a week can choose up to ten activities per week. If only three or four sessions have been selected to begin with, this can be added to at any point during the year, subject to availability. This may affect funding, but you will be provided with all of the information you need at the time.
