Christmas in the community

Our Christmas community update brings lots of festive cheer 💜🎅
A huge thank you to everyone in our local community for your continued support of our work - we would be lost without you!
A special mention to:
🎅 Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Round Table for making a special stop at St Elizabeth's, so our children and young people could meet Santa last weekend. We appreciate the high demand you receive every year, and are so grateful for your visit!
🎅 To Harry from Nuffield Health who did another collection of Advent Calendars for St Elizabeth's. At the start of the month, Harry delivered over 180 calendars to us which had been donated by customers, which meant ALL of our children, young people and adults could join in the advent fun this year. Thank you!
🎅 The gorgeous Mr & Mrs Murray, who visit our school every year with heaps of toys for the children! They have been donating toys to us at Christmas for many many years, and we are so grateful for their support
🎅 Rose and Keith, who are running the community bus in Much Hadham. We launched this project last month, and the bus now has at least 8 - 9 passengers every week for shopping trips into Bishop's Stortford. Rose said she 'cannot thank St Elizabeth's enough for re-introducing the much needed service to the local community'
🎅 Thank you to everyone who has supported our Enterprise Projects this year! Christmas is always a very busy time for the team, and we are delighted to confirm that the projects as a whole have made a total of £2654.20 this festive season!
🎅 Our amazing shop customers - we are so grateful to you. The Value of Giving Back – The Social Return of Charity Shops’ has recently been commissioned by the Charity Retail Association, to understand the social value generated by UK charity shops and the benefits they bring to customers, staff, volunteers, and donors. Every time you shop with us you are contributing to this vital research, and are directly supporting us!
🎅 Thank you to Beauandelliot who kindly donated a huge amount of brand new items to be sold in our Charity Shops. Items range from vases to cake tins, and have gone down a treat with our customers.
