Bishop Paul was ordained Auxiliary Bishop of Westminster and Titular Bishop of Mercia in 2016. He lives in Welwyn Garden City and has pastoral care of the deaneries of Hertfordshire. Bishop Paul is also Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the work of Caritas in the Diocese. Following an early career in engineering, Bishop Paul commenced seminary training at St Patrick’s College, Co Tipperary in 1979 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1985.
